A disruptive breakthrough in room temperature superconducting materials

If room-temperature superconducting materials such as lutetium-nitrogen-hydrogen compounds are applied in engineering (such as the room-temperature and pressure superconducting materials announced by an international team in 2025), the flywheel speed can reach 200,000 revolutions per minute, the energy density will exceed 200Wh/kg, and the cost will drop to $100/kWh. Superconducting magnetic bearings will make the suspension loss close to zero, and with the integrated design of vacuum chamber-liquid cooling, the system efficiency can be increased to more than 98%.
